Travis was born in Bozeman, Montana, and spent his early years there, studying and playing a wide variety of music. His influences were expanded through time observing and playing music in Boston, Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, Oregon, Cuba, and Denver. He now lives in Hailey, Idaho where he devotes his work to environmental protection.
